Yes! Indeed it’s a great herb!
This plant is well known for its healing effect, and there are 200 different species of aloe growing in dry regions around the world.

Aloe is known as skin healer, moisturiser and softener (conditioner). It also acts as an astringent, emollient, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and antiviral. It heals and simulated cell regeneration.
Dramatically effective on burns of all types, cuts, insect stings, bruises, acne and blemishes, poison ivy, welts, skin ulcers, and eczema.

Some interesting facts on processing of Aloe:
* In every Aloe leave, 99.5% is water and only 0.5% is the natural bio-active component that our skin will be benefiting from. You seriously need a lot of huge leaves for a good amount of gel!
* To retain freshness of Aloe, they have to be processed within 2hrs.
* Method of process: Machine extraction of the gel destroys the natural bio active chemical in each leave. Hand processing is cut down the unnecessary damage.

I would like share how I have use the Aloe gel to help my clients in various ways:
* Eczema: usage helps to relieve itches almost instant. It’s a great reliever as it’s transparent, not oily. Doesn't stain clothes thus can be use as and when needed. It can be applied 4 to 5 times daily.
* Skin rashes/flare up: Our skin, at times, for no reason, becomes red and stays in a v unstable condition. I advise stop all the skin care product that are used and replace with Aloe gel (after toning) to condition skin back to normal.
* Lip repair and conditioning gel: Dry, chip lips condition can be improved through the help of aloe gel too. In fact, I find it better then using lip balm (might be too oily) and it’s a more natural choice. Use it only at night time can help to keep lips moist and well conditioned.
* Sensitive skin moisturiser: This gel will not go wrong for friends with sensitive skin. In fact, the bio active chemical can helps to calm skin and bring the sensitive level to minimum with long term usage.
* Light weight moisturiser: Many clients refuse to put moisturiser as they found that it’s too 'heavy' on skin. This gel, contain nothing but aloe and aqua, put them at ease when apply.

I am using Aloe Care (from US) for myself and helping my clients to solve their skin issues.
It’s a simple and yet high quality Aloe gel (most importantly, odourless!) The source of the leaves is organically plant. And basically, only 3 substances in the whole tube:
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract - 99%
Glyceryl Polymethacrylate - 0.6%
Propylene Glycol - 0.4%

The above is a good reference if you would like to get a off the shelf Aloe Vera gel.

Sometimes, simple and pure substance is the best solution.

Cheers!
